Ode to Aaliyah: Every time I see or hear something that happened in 2001, I always think about you. Every time I hear a song play that reminds me of the day, I think about you. Every creation or feeling that happened in 2001, I think of you. I know it’s bittersweet to say that, but it’s true I think of you. I do not just think of you in 2001, I think about you in every movie, situation that happens in the media, every fashion show, beauty and makeup idea and every music and theatre appearance. I’ll always think of you, Aaliyah. Forever my muse.
Remebering Aaliyah, is not always a easy thing for me. Everyone says wow, you act or cry as though you knew her personally. Even though she was my favorite celebrity, my muse and I did not know her personally; personally it's like she knew me. From her music to her style, her expression I related to. That's why I will always love her, that's why these 15 years feel like yesterday. Throughout the year, ever week, daily I think about baby girl. Just thank God for sharing her with us, just gone too soon from here. #rememberinganangel

Dedication song for babygirl:

Denim Kind Of Night

First of all let me start by apologizing for my fuzzy and some blurry pictures. I grabbed the wrong lens for my camera last night. I really was going to use my tripod to take my pictures by myself but my lens don't have a zoom feature on it and I did a last minute kind of thing. The lens that fI worked with last night only focuses on details, and my baby sister who is not really young and pregnant took my pictures. So a person who does not know how to shoot pictures with different lens like these, may have a hard time with shooting pictures and at night at that. I really wish I had an photographer who was interested in what I feel and do so I can show what I want. But in due time, I'll get it back together. So with this outfit, I wanted the denim effect. I wanted bold accessories, like my chain fur purse and my clear heels. Catch details at the bottom. My shirt is a remembrance of my late daddy, so it was great remembering him. I also changed and played with my hair. I received a lot of sweet feedback on my hair.

Roke Fall Essentials | "Class Rush Beauty & Make-Up".

Sunday, August 21, 2016

For Back-To-College! Let's talk about last minute, rushing to my class or job makeup. I know if I have to run to catch a class or whatever transportation I will be using to be there on time. I still want to look good. So I'll have to throw some things in my bag and go. Here is my list of things of what I do and I need to still/feel like myself.

So these last couple of weeks, I've been buying and focusing on make-up and beauty products for Fall. Thinking about a plan to keep my skin clear, healthy, and on track period. Trying to keep my hair growing and well oiled up. Not too greasy though, so that's why I chose OGX Nourishing Coconut Hydrating Oil Mist. Not to heavy, but enough oil to give me shine and still smell sooo good. The night before my morning I will wash my face with Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil to remove any makeup I had on, to give me a deep cleaning, and improve my skin. After my deep cleansing I'll use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ to hydrate my skin. Before I head out I'll wash my face with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Every 3 days, I'll use St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub to prevent any breakouts and exfoliate my skin. After my cleanser or scrub sometimes to give me a healthy feel or glow, I'll spray Mario Badescu Facial Spray that contains Aloe, Herb, and Rosewater. To open up my eyes I'll use L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencil in Bronze Shimmer with a favorite of mine, Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara to give my eyes the I'm awake and ready for the world look. To give me a natural glow I'll use Jordana Powder Blush in the color Touch of Pink, adding on top a natural highlight with Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter. Topping of my natural on the rush look with Milani Moisture Lock Coconut Oil Infused Lip Treatment to treat and restore my lips with shine.

Sorry I wrote a lot, but I wanted to keep my reader informed, since I get so many questions on my beauty and makeup. Also I'll keep posting "Roke Fall Essentials" for different occasions and reasons. Thanks for reading!

Graffiti Gucci

Saturday, August 20, 2016

So lately I have been re-arringing my closet from favorites to least likes. I had a lot of clothing, shoes, purses, and accessories that I hardly wear did not wear anymore sooo, what that being said I got rid of what didn't amaze me anymore and re-make what still kept my interest but needed a splash of excitement again. I had this #Gucci cross body bag on my purse rack, that was just collecting dust. I'm not sure if it's real or not because I bought this bag at a thrift store. Looking at my purse I thought  about the graffiti sprayed/drawn on bags that I seen on Instagram and on the Sonique Saturday blog. I love her Birkin bags! Being inspired, I created my admiration with some Window markers by Simply Art. I do not know how long the paint will stay on the bag, but if it comes out. I can paint all over again. Hope you enjoy this post, let me know if you did it anything like this DIY project.

Lace In Velvet

Sunday, August 14, 2016

Before my way to church, I had been up all night and morning thinking about goals and achievements on my bucket list. Trying to mapped out your life can be inspiration and a headache at the same time. But I digress and realized that in life unexpected things will happen but the hard work and hunger is worth the anxiety that comes with the territory, hopefully you get me on that. I also started a journal for my upcoming plans for this blog and even took up some classes online to help me better my skills within my talents.

But with this outfit, I wanted classy, pretty and chic. I don't know if I said anything about my transition phase from Summer to Fall apparel. I believe I said something on my Chictopia about it. I am aiming for neutrals and dark bold colors in this phase. I even changed up my makeup game to match my transition. Adding eyelashes to my makeup game as well. I have fallen hard over hills for #VegasNaylashes by EYLURE. I collected a few lashes from this brand. They are amaze balls.  Created by an Instagram guru & some what cheap. They do not look fake, and they are easy to apply. The ones that I am wearing in this post are called, "Grand Glamor". My favorite are "Shining Star", but these new lashes are starting to give my favorite a run for their money. I will be collecting more. You can purchased these at your local Target, Kmart, Walmart, and Ulta Beauty or online that sells the brand.

I know everyone knows about the Kanye West Yeezy Season 2 Lucite Heel that was/is sold out online and everywhere the heels were being distribute. I fell in lust with these heels, I wanted and needed in my closet but before considering I had no choice for purchase. So I ran across some heels on Public Desire that reminded me of the shoe. And I had to buy them. I know some people are picky with clear strappy heels, because they are scared that the strap might pop or whatever. But the fit seems sturdy, just have to be careful in heels period. I love the chunky clear heel. I love the fact I can wear the heels with every day apparel, events, etc etc etc. A feel good purchase I have not regret in a long time. Honestly, lately I only purchased things I do not doubt buying or wearing. It is a certain liberation I come in terms with myself. It feels good. If you feel like this can be a feel good purchase, go ahead and buy. A great investment. I became a #PDBAE :)

One Day In Savannah.

Monday, August 08, 2016

Last post I mentioned my mom's birthday and what we were up to for her pre-celebration. Me, my mom, and my sister decided to travel together to Savannah, GA. It was real neat and historic. From traveling down the bay where Harriet Tubman beaten her drums for the underground railroad for slavery to the place where Tom Hanks feature in the movie "Forrest Gump". We shopped and ate around. Even went to H&M store opening where I bought some cute things and a new blush from their makeup line. Well mention in a future post. My outfit is mostly thrifted except for my Zara shoulder bag and Forever 21 sandals.

SYK: The picture that I took of the building with the gold top is really 24k gold, and it is called the "Gold Dome" cost $240,000. By the famous river street.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

As you can see from the title, today is my mom birthday! Today my little brother went back to school up north and I'm prepping to relocate to Atlanta. We hung out, did a little shopping, and order some food from a famous chicken spot located in Jacksonville. I order some cajun ranch shrimp and pink lemonade aka strawberry lemonade. In other news, I have been waiting on my heels that I order from Public Desire. I hope before I leave I received the shipment. Because I've been waiting to show and review the heels for my site.
