Memorial Day

Monday, May 26, 2014

As you can see I went back to rocking my black hair. I had the color for 3 weeks now and its cool to be back to my color I must say. I just need some type of brown. But I'll have to wait for that my color is not a wash. So today I chose to keep it a little casual, nothing special. At my aunts house we had an cookout. I wasn't really trying to style myself today, all I wanted to is just eat and relax. As you can see we had seafood, steak, onion pepper burgers, and other summer holiday food. You know I'm a sucker for seafood.

To everyone in their respectful places on this day, remembering all who have fought for this country...I sincerely appreciate and thank you for my freedom to live, speak, and be me.

IKEA Store Visit

Thursday, May 15, 2014

As an artist, I heard that our work place or home reflect our personalities or habits. As you can see through these pictures that I have taken what I'm about. Well in a way. I have always been a fan of IKEA, I just never shopped inside of the store. It is actually a neat store for the creative and ordinary individual or family. The store seems like a sight seeing scavenger hut. The company gives out a pencil and paper so when you go on the different rooms tour you'll be able to write down your interests down when you get through with sight seeing. On the scavenger hut, you'll still be going around finding your interests. It might seem too much as you read, but in person the experience is much more neater. The store also provides a cafe, restaurant, and a grocery store. I advise everyone to go to a store near and change up their furniture shopping experience.

Denim and Dinner

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

So I wanted to channel my daisy dukes wearing, eating frozen fruit cups, and jamming to old school R&B and Hip Hop tunes look. This is what I came up with. The humidity in the air provided the mood. I didn't want to over dress I wanted to stay sissy and simple. Since most of my items are vintage it went all together, just wish I added some more gold jewelry to balance. I went to the Funk-fest with some family members and enjoyed myself. It is a music festival where artist come from all over and celebrate outside at a big park. I went out to eat after.

For A Moment

Tuesday, May 06, 2014

So as you can see I have transformed myself into a blonde. Honestly it is nothing new, when I was 21 I bleached my hair blonde as well. Everyone liked the color more then I did so it was not for long before I went back to my black. Not saying that I would change something everyone would like. I just felt bleached out. Now I am feeling the same way. Weird right?! But we will see.
Okay so these last couple of days have been up and down for me. I celebrated my best friend birthday this weekend it was fun. Again I sat my camera down and only took a few pictures. I left my tripod at home so no outfit post or candid pictures. Slacking, I know but where I've been laying my head is really cozy. The lamp has given it a nice touch.
