Work Before Play

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Just started back going to school, and I’ve been working my butt off to keep my 3.0 gpa or to make it better. Learning an foreign language isn’t that easy when your given class assignments, tutor labs, and a online class to assist to. On top of that having other classes to, but I cant complain. Hard work comes with success, so I have to do what I have to.

I will be getting back into the habit of shooting pictures. I just have important things to deal with at this time. I am struggling with expanding my mind and getting back into the habit of being accessible. Please pray for me and hope that I keep it moving for the best.

Stop Talkin’ & Listen

Wednesday, March 07, 2012

All day, yesterday and today all I’ve been listening to is Big K.R.I.T. new mix-tape 4eva N A Day. All I can say is do not sleep on this Southern Fried talent. From the lyrics to the chopped & screwed beats,  K.R.I.T. has become one of my top 5 rappers of all time. I know that this is coming off to quick even though he’s half mainstream and still fresh, but this rapper has potential and guts. Makes me proud to be from the south, it reminds me of a Outkast mixed with UGK. & on his art cover, explains it all for what you about to listen to. Please listen and be open-minded & download.Hopefully he goes on tour like some other rappers I admire, like Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, and Kirko Bangz. All artist have raw talent and potential. Basically they keep it real. & the thing that is great about all, is that they tell stories of truth and of what most go through.Yeah it’s cool to hear what others have, but give me something I can relate to or another normal individual can speak on. That’s what I feel like our music is lacking of, true emotions that we all have in common. I really feel as though the new generation that is coming up will restore what we’ve been missing.

80’s Obess: Subway

Monday, March 05, 2012

My obsession with the 80’s has been taken to another level and beyond. Inspired by these photos who were taken by Bruce Davidson, a favorite photographer of mine. Bruce wanted to capture the gritty and beauty of New York city underground world called the Subway. What I love about Bruce work is that he’s telling a plot in each photo, and all combined makes a story. 80’s style was on it. All I’ve been doing is searching for 80’s possessions or anything that was made in that decade.
